During the first 9 months of this year, imports of meat and meat products (in terms of meat) has a clear tendency to decrease and is 140 thousand tons (-44.9%).
This is the ministry said.
As noted, the decrease in imports occurred in all types of meat, particularly beef - by 28.6%, pork - 50%, poultry - 31%.
At the same time, exports of meat and meat products increased by 22.4% and now amounts to 153 thousand tons.
In particular, the export of poultry meat is the main share in total exports of meat and meat products (81%), shows rapid dynamics to grow at 22.8% for the corresponding period last year.
